Welcome Back, Panther Families!

I am thrilled to welcome both our returning students and our newest families to Navarro Junior High for the 2026–2027 school year! Junior high is a unique, dynamic time in a student’s life, and our faculty and staff have been working tirelessly to prepare a year filled with growth, discovery, and success.

As we kick off this new chapter, we are anchored by three core commitments to our students and community:
  • A True Sense of Belonging: Every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and seen at NJH. Whether your child is returning or stepping onto our campus for the very first time, they are an essential part of our Panther family. We are dedicated to creating a welcoming culture where every student finds their place, their voice, and their people.
  • Strong, Engaging Instruction: Our teachers are eager to challenge and support every student every day. We are committed to rigorous, high-quality instruction that sparks curiosity, builds critical thinking, and prepares our students for high school and beyond. Expect active classrooms, meaningful learning, and high standards.
  • Smooth Transitions: We know that coming into a new school can bring a mix of excitement and nervous energy—especially for our incoming 6th graders and new transfer students. Please know that our entire team is here to guide them, answer their questions, and help them navigate their new routines with confidence.

Thank you for partnering with us in your child’s education. Together, we are going to make this an incredible school year!

Warmly,
Ms. Beutnagel
Junior High Principal

Campus Shirts - Coming Soon

If you are interested in purchasing a campus shirt, watch for the Parent Square post! Purchases are made through Parent Square.

We will close pre-sale on August 31st. We expect shirts to be delivered around September 10th.

If you have any questions, please call the school's front office.

Lunch Information

We are excited to have the use of both caferterias this year. All students will have a Panther Enrichment and a lunch, however, depending on their Enrichment Teacher, they will either go to lunch first or enrichment first. Please see the chart below to determine your child's lunch. Their teacher in the class before lunch will also remind students of their lunch.

All 8th grade students will attend Panther Enrichment first then go to lunch.

Student Drop-off and Pick-up

Map
Students are picked up and dropped off in the front of the school. Cars should enter off of Hwy 123 at the old JH entrance and follow the path to the front of the JH Main Building. Students can only be dropped off and picked up in the yellow area.

The parking lot behind the school next to the Athletic Hallway and Competition Gym is reserved for bus drop off and pick up only. No car drop off/pick up.

Where do I go when I get to school?

On the first day, we will post lists for students to find their 1st period class. We have reprinted their schedules and students will receive them in 1st period.

Breakfast will be served in the main cafeteria each morning. Students wishing to eat breakfast will report to the main cafeteria.

If your student is not eating breakfast, they will report to the following locations:
  • 6th Graders - 6th Grade Cafeteria
  • 7th and 8th grade students in Athletics - Report to the gym
  • 7th and 8th grade students not in athletics - Report to Main Cafeteria

Chromebooks

Students who did not pick up their chromebook at Meet the Teacher will receive their chromebooks during the first week of school.

Student ID's

Students are required to wear their Student Identification Cards visible all day. These may be worn on a lanyard or on a clip worn on their shirt. Students will receive a temporary ID on the first day of school. Permanent IDs will be distributed in a few weeks.

Replacement IDs: The first replacement ID will be free of charge. Following that, there is a $5.00 fee for replacements. Students can visit the library to receive their replacement IDs.

Please help your student find a place to store their IDs at home so they will not forget to bring them to school.
