Random Drug Testing Policy

Navarro ISD has adopted a board policy requiring students in grades 6-12 participating in extracurricular activities to consent to random drug tests. Before a student is eligible to participate in extracurricular activities, the student shall be required annually to sign a consent form agreeing to be subject to the rules and procedures of the drug-testing program.  When you registered your student, you signed the consent form.  Please see the NISD website HERE for more information.

Please note that we antcipate the contracted company to conduct random drug testing in the Fall and Spring semesters.  Navarro JH is not notified in advance of the test date.

Student ID's

Students are required to wear their Student Identification Cards visible all day. These may be worn on a lanyard or on a clip worn on their shirt. Students will receive a temporary ID on the first day of school. Permanent IDs will be distributed in a few weeks.

Replacement IDs: The first replacement ID will be free of charge. Following that, there is a $5.00 fee for replacements. Students can visit the library to receive their replacement IDs.

Please help your student find a place to store their IDs at home so they will not forget to bring them to school.
